- Three-word phrasal verbs usually have a verb + particle + preposition: run out of, look forward to, come up with.
- These phrasal verbs usually stay together. Do not separate the three parts.
- Look forward to is followed by a noun or gerund: I look forward to seeing you.
- Cut down on means reduce. Run out of means have none left.
- Look down on is negative. It means to think someone is less important.
