1. What Is a Morpheme?

A morpheme is a meaningful word part. In this lesson, you will use three roots: port = carry, rupt = break, and struct = build.

Prefix: a word part added before a root.

Root: the main word part that carries the central meaning.

Suffix: a word part added after a root.
