Grammar Cheatsheet — Simple Present

Affirmative

I/you/we/they + base → I speak.
he/she/it + base+s/es → She goes., He fixes.

Spelling: -y→-ies; -ch/-sh/-x/-s/-o→+es.

Negative

I/you/we/they: do not + base (don’t).
he/she/it: does not + base (doesn’t).

Yes/No Questions

Do I/you/we/they + base?
Does he/she/it + base?

WH-Questions

WH + do/does + subject + base → Where does he live?
Subject WH uses 3rd-p verb → Who teaches?

Have/Has

I/you/we/they have; he/she/it has.
Negative: do/does not have (not *has*).
