Comparatives — New Examples

1 syllable: bright → brighter
-y → -ier: busy → busier
2+ syllables: more reliable, more patient
Spelling: CVC doubles: hot → hotter, slim → slimmer

Use than for direct comparison: “This route is faster than the highway.”

Superlatives — New Examples

1 syllable: calm → the calmest
-y → -iest: noisy → the noisiest
2+ syllables: the most efficient, the most complicated
Irregular: good → the best, far → the farthest / the furthest
